MANASSAS, VA- April 21, 2006 MicroAutomation is a finalist for Prince William County’s Technology Achievement Award. This prestigious award is given to companies located in Prince William County, Virginia who has shown exceptional development of new technology, or the innovative use of existing technology. MicroAutomation’s recent solution for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in the New Orleans area is a finalist in the "Innovative Application of Existing Technology" award category. This solution was part of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. A new mobile and self-sufficient E9-1-1 center was constructed for the re-establishment of critical emergency communications, which allowed parish residents to return to their homes.
MicroAutomation joins Lockheed Martin and American Stripping Company (ASCo) in the esteemed finalist group for the Prince William County Technology Achievement Award.
